Celebrating Innovation and Future Tech Leaders at Gauhati University – HackDays 3.0

This March, we had the incredible opportunity to be the Technology Partner for HackDays 3.0, hosted by the Department of Information Technology, Gauhati University on 21st March, 2025. The third edition of this flagship TechFest and Hackathon brought together bright minds from across Assam for two dynamic days of coding, creativity, and collaboration.

With the backing of industry leaders like OIL INDIA, INDIAN OIL, Decathlon, and GPlus, HackDays 3.0 proved to be a powerful platform for student developers, startups, and tech professionals to ideate, build, and showcase their talent.

Innovation at Its Best

This year’s hackathon featured projects in cutting-edge domains including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Web and App Development, Cybersecurity, and Blockchain. The level of innovation and execution was truly impressive, with students tackling real-world challenges through smart, scalable solutions.

The winning teams were:

• 🥇 Tirthankar Nath & Krishnabh Das – Assam Engineering College

• 🥈 Janjyoti Ojah, Nilakhya Mandita Bordoloi, Mrinmay Kalita & Biswadeep Mazumder – Jorhat Engineering College

• 🥉 Arnab Kumar Das, Abhay Sharma, Dibakar Bhattacharjee, Jit Roy & Monish Bharali – Girijananda Choudhury University

As judges and mentors, we at Ujudebug were blown away by the quality of work and the technical depth these teams demonstrated.

Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Industry

Our CEO, Mr. Spandan Keot, addressed participants during the closing ceremony and shared his admiration for the level of talent on display. “The ideas I’ve seen here today are not just impressive—they’re full of potential. It’s inspiring to see such enthusiasm from young minds,” he said.

He also took the opportunity to announce exclusive internship opportunities at Ujudebug for students from computer science and related fields. We firmly believe that early exposure to real-world projects can be a game-changer for young professionals.
