Mancotta Junior(M J) College was established in the year 2005, and it provides Higher Secondary Science, Commerce, and Arts.
The college is at present located at Jiban Phukan Nagar, Dibrugarh, and was registered under Societies Act No. DIB/255/A142 of 2004-2005. The Institution aims at grooming the student in a different way by providing scopes and adventure of overall development for challenging the competitive environment. Experienced and well-trained faculties and teachers clubbed with the latest and updated education techniques shall definitely provide a space for quality education.

The college follows the syllabus designed and approved by the National Council of Education Research and Training(NCERT) and also Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.
The college provides the Arts stream with subjects like English, MIL(Assamese, Alternative English, Hindi), Advance Assamese, Economics, Political Science, Education, Sociology, History, Logic and Philosophy, Geography. Commerce Stream English, MIL(Assamese, Alternative English, Hindi), Advance Assamese, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy, Commercial Arithmetic and Elements of Statistics, Banking, Insurance, Salesmanship. And the Science stream with English, MIL(Assamese, Alternative English, Hindi), Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Anthropology, Geography.
The college has a library with a collection of text and reference books. It also includes novels, journals, completion refresher, newspapers, etc. And also Hostel facility for the Boys and Girls is available within the college campus.
